The Swim Team Season is Coming to a Close

As the 2022 QO Otters swim team season comes to an end, we’d like to take a moment to reflect on some of the most memorable and exciting events from this summer. From having Potomac Pizza and team pictures, to the traditional post-meet celebration at Jersey Mikes, there have been countless social events and practices to help prepare for the upcoming Montgomery County Swim League (MCSL) Divisionals that are taking place this Saturday, July 23rd. The Otters will also be holding their annual banquet at our facility from 5-8pm on Saturday as well. We would like to take this time to thank all of those who have been instrumental in the organization and facilitation of the QO Otters’s events this year. While it’s impossible to recognize everyone who has helped in making this season possible, some of those who deserve recognition include Evan, the Coach of the QO Otters, as well as Jung Lawrence, the President of the QO Otters. Evan and Jung have not only put a tremendous amount of time into training the swimmers, but they have been influential in ensuring that all of our families have enjoyed their time being a part of the Otters. We look forward to seeing everyone this weekend for our last QO Otters events, as well as other special appearances from some of the best quality food trucks in the metropolitan area. Go Otters!

An Upcoming Weekend Full of Food!

This weekend QOSTC intends to host not one, but TWO food trucks! While we have had difficulty scheduling many earlier this summer, we have begun to fill the remaining weekends of summer with food and fun. On Saturday, the NOMZ Food Truck will be coming to the pool at 4pm to serve exquisitely curated using authentic Persian herbs, amazing sauces, fresh vegetables and beautiful quality of Basmati rice along with the best cuts of Halal meat, lamb or chicken, with exotic spices (like Saffron, Turmeric, Cardamom, Cloves and Cinnamon) reminiscent of the old trade routes that passed through the Persian Empire. Crazy delicious Persian-fusion food, affordable super fresh menu items are waiting to be gobbled up on this awesome event! We are also planning to have a BBQ trailer make an appearance sometime on Sunday, although the details are still being finalized. Once we have confirmation, we will make sure to advertise all of the flavorful food you can expect to enjoy. With temperatures predicted to reach almost 100 degrees on Sunday, we are hoping that you will join us for some delicious food while cooling off by the pool!
