Updated: Aug 7, 2022

(Tennis Staff Meeting held by Serg Kharchev, Director of Junior Tennis)

Summer 1 Session Begins for all Junior Tennis Clinics!

This week marks the beginning of the Summer 1 session for all of our Junior Tennis Clinics. If you have not already registered for the new session, please make sure to do so by visiting our website (qostc.com) or calling the front desk (301-948-3116) directly. A new session has begun for all of the following classes: Elite (All), High School, Future, Stars, Little Tennis, Tiny Tots, Quickstart Matchplay, and Junior Matchplay. It is also important to remember that no classes will be held from July 2nd through July 4th, as we anticipate many will be out of town during the holiday weekend. As we mentioned in last week’s newsletter, QOSTC is now offering three different tennis camps for this summer (Monday-Friday). Both the Kidz 10 & Under Tennis Training, as well as the Junior Tennis Training are discounted ($35 and $30, respectively) for the first three weeks of camp in June (Weeks 1, 2 and 3). Additionally, those who register for multiple weeks of the Elite Tennis Training have the ability to take advantage of other special offers such as attending as many evening practices as they would like. The validity of this offer for Elite Training is based upon whether your child signs up for either a minimum of 4 or 7 weeks, and all inquiries regarding receiving this offer should be directed to the Director of High Performance, Andrei Bacalu (andrei.qostc@gmail.com).

A Successful Pep Rally & Victory for the Otters!

Last Friday, the Quince Orchard Otters held their annual Pep Rally at the pool to kick-off the summer season! There was an amazing turnout, and we are so excited to see so many returning and new faces on the team. The Pep Rally featured a parent relay, ducky race, little Cotton Eye Joe, and many more fun activities that brought out a TON of team spirit! Not only was the Pep Rally a huge success, but the following day was the first meet of the swim season. The Otters competed against King Farm (away), and brought home a victory of 467 - 306. Way to go Otters, and congratulations to all of our dedicated swimmers! To conclude this week’s newsletter, we wanted to remind you that QOSTC is active on your favorite social media platforms. Follow our Instagram and Facebook accounts (@qostc) for daily posts and updates regarding all of the latest news and updates from the club! We will also be hosting a giveaway this coming week, so make sure that you are following to have a chance to win 30% off an item from the pro-shop, as well as many other free prizes!
